With only so many hours in a day, there is only so much haunt decorating and Halloween prop building you can get done in the month of October. So this home haunter can‘t afford any TV watching time!
Well one way to avoid the temptation of procrastinating on prop building is; “Why not remove the TV?”
And Hey! Since that unit will be missing why not move all the rest of the furniture out and turn the entire room into a Zombie Lounge Bar
With all that extra room there will be plenty of space for more Halloween props and of course a dance floor for our Halloween party guests!
Lets lay down an eight inch plywood dais with just enough room to run a row of Styrofoam skulls
Creepy green eyes are perfect for the zombie decorating theme so we drilled our all 42 eyes and stuff green LED Christmas lights into the back of the skulls.
Next we built a bar and a mirrored bar shelf which we decorated with a large skull with red eyes!
We also found a Mirror with some candle stick holders. These we painted black and then dry brushed grey and white for that freshly haunted look!
Found a few more zombie heads that we enhanced to make better props than they were in the store.
In the end we had ourselves a very nice room for our Halloween Haunt. On the left side was Haunted House flavour complete with book shelves and creepy pictures.
On the right side we had a grave robber in a creepy cemetery scene. We even dragged in an old dead haunted tree and put a red eyed crow prop in it.
Overall we were very happy with how we transformed our living room into a full crypt of horrors for Halloween!
